Firearms Training Classes

5 out of 5 stars deservedly so. I came to my first class with a self-taught arrogance. I assumed I would learn a couple of things but walk away confirming my skill set. Instead my weaknesses and lack of knowledge were exposed and used as a platform to build strengths in order to expand my skill set. I came away with a martial arts view of firearm operation along with new, applicable knowledge. I have taken 3 classes now and I am looking at the schedule for my next. Brian doesn’t just make you shoot, he makes you think.

Best money spent for training on how to operate a gun safely and understating the fundamentals of how to shoot well. Highly recommend.

Training at monarch defense was really a must for bay area firearm enthusiasts. Brian is articulate, concise and effective at teaching students difficult to grasp tasks. Brian enthusiastically trained me for the whole day and his passion is really to teach. He spent eight hours in the rain with just me to teach me how to shoot better. Most instructors would cancel or reschedule to maximize the cost while monarch defense actually cared about me!

Excellent class! Instructor was very knowledgeable and safety conscious. There  were a variety of firearm so the students to try and the shooting range was very safe and clean, I will definitely take another class from this instructor.

Brian is very knowledgeable and skilled in gun use and ownership. We learned a lot from the basic training course. He’s a good guy and is understanding but very serious about safe handling, including judgment of when to use a gun, outside of class. He genuinely wants to educate people on gun use and even let us all stay past the scheduled time to end. I recommend this course, and him as an instructor, if you’re interested in actually learning theory and use of guns. He isn’t the type of instructor to just let adults pull triggers and call it “training.” He’s the real deal.

I took Fighting Rifle 1 + 2 over the weekend and had a great time and learned a ton. I went from not knowing how to rack the rifle, to knowing how to zero a rifle, confident with manipulations, and knowing what my limits are in terms of shooting, stress, and movement. It was also a lot of fun.

My son and I took the introduction to fire arms and safety class. It was a lot of info, but we both really enjoyed Brian and his staff/volunteers.

We spent about 12 hours there and were able to handle and shoot many different rifles, shot guns and hand guns near the latter part of the day.

I had read that Brian WILL make you do push ups so don’t be a wuss and just do them!

Brian is a great teacher.  I have learned a lot from him.  His classes are well structured and safe.  He covered different topics in each class so you can take two carbine rifle classes and he will show you the same basics but when it gets to the more advanced part of the class the core principals are applied for different situations.  If you still want to expand your skill set then you can try a Dynamic Drills Day.  The DDD is NOT FOR BEGINNERS but it helps you apply your fundamentals in new ways under pressure so you can expand your skills and test your limits.  I recommend these after you take the skill builder series.

Contacted Brian to set up a range experience class for my sister’s first time shooting experience 🙂  Brian is a great instructor, and very patient in helping his students get comfortable around firearm 🙂 Great instructor and the class at Coyote range is really awesome with the outdoor “cowboy style” range. Brian is really big on firearm safety, and very organized in his lessons. Sister& I had a great time out there at the range. Great fun and learning at the range 🙂

One of the best parts of working with Brian, was that he went above and beyond the call when my class was supposed to end at 1 and he stayed shooting and teaching till 3:30. His reason was, that he didn’t have another class lined up for that day and he could continue giving me the knowledge that I needed to help protect myself and my home. Overall I was mega impressed with this man’s knowledge of firearms and training, and ability to find out who I was and what my skill level was so quickly so that he could better teach me. As the class went along, it just got better and better. A very enjoyable class that I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to gain knowledge about safety and training. Thank you Brian.

Very nice to be able to train outside of the confinement of a square range. Instructor was very useful and his delivery of information was easy to grasp and retain to put to practical real world situations. I have had training doing SRT in the army and many training exercises both military and civilian. This was one of the better events i have been a part of. Safety was #1. Constantly reiterated to the class while maintaining the fact that we are training for real world situations. The threat may not always be standing right in front of you. Being able to shoot, move and communicate with others is vital to prevent loss of life and serious injuries in order to make it home at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend this but only to those who have some good safe firearms training and practice. Not for first time gun owners. Look forward to another event.

Great training. Focuses on proper weapon handling, safety and shooting accuracy. I thought, coming to the training that I knew how to handle my AR 15, which I have used multiple time at the range. It was an eye opener for me. Real life situation are not thought at the range. Bryan, I thought, did a fantastic job in explaining safety and proper handling of a fire arm. He is very knowledgeable and had great communication skill to explain the drills.
I have learned a great deal. If anyone owns a fire arm, it is a must to get proper training. Otherwise there is a risk of harming your self and you loved ones.
Loved it and can not wait for the next visit.

Outfreakingstanding class. Instructors are very well-versed in firearms, safety and medical emergencies. I’ve been shooting for over 30 years and these guys taught me so many things it’s incredible.

Both instructors stayed long after the class to give me some personal pointers and things to practice. There were others students with questions after the class and they stayed and explained everything in-depth till the student understood what it was they were asking about. Don’t let these classes pass you by. You and your loved ones need you to be extremely proficient and these guys can get you there!
