Principles of Patrol 7DEC25

Combat is the only “team sport” that humans actually compete in. Imagine someone who only punches a punching bag, then claims he knows how to box, or only bats in a cage against a ball throwing machine, then claims he knows baseball. Batting is only a small part of the game. Punching is only a fraction of the whole of boxing. Someone who only knows how to shoot doesn’t know shit about fighting and winning. Shooting is a tiny percentage of the ballgame, and it isn’t what separates winners from losers. Teamwork, tactics, decision making, leadership, communication, mission planning, movement, maneuver under fire, and shooting combined together is what it takes to make a winning team.
Learn the tactical principles that make the United States the most powerful exporter of military might in the world. Gain the history, context, and lessons learned in blood, and refined over centuries, that allow us to win on any battlefield, past, present, and future. Learn how to use a simple framework to solve problems under stress, and to prevent preventable losses from occurring in the first place.
This is a tactical problem-solving, movement, and teamwork exercise, in austere field environment. It will be intense physically and mentally. It is not for the weak or the faint of heart. You will plan the mission, insert into the area of operations, move stealthily, identify the proper objective to accomplish the mission, and fight your way out of enemy contact.
