You must have prior safe weapons handling experience. If you are a beginner, take the morning’s firearm safety class to satisfy this requirement. All weapons and ammo provided.
You must register in order to attend.
You must fill out this liability waiver: https://monarchdefense.org/liability-waiver/
Alcohol Policy:Â
Once we cease fire and unload weapons, you are welcome to crack open a cold one and enjoy an adult beverage, but you will not handle any more firearms, including unloaded ones, until sunrise the next morning.
Rules of Conduct:Â
Be polite, be courteous, be respectful of people, targets, equipment, and our facility.
Dogs, families, children all welcome.
Each range will have a Shoot Boss. He or she is a volunteer. Be nice to my volunteers. Respect and listen to the Shoot Boss as his job is to help you have a safe and fun time.
Share the range with the other shooters. They might be working on a drill already when you show up, and it isn’t what you want to work on. Make friends, play, learn, and wait your turn to set up the exercise you want to work on.
Bring some snacks or drinks or steaks or salad or fruit to share. Let your heart and imagination be the limit.
Gentlemen, pee anywhere EXCEPT the toilet. The toilets flush with valuable spring water, and are for our lady guests and for taking a shit.
You can park at each of the ranges, but be mindful to not block driveways and roads. Drive carefully to not run over anyone’s stuff.
Ask for permission before taking pictures of anyone or their stuff.
Pick up your brass and put it in a bucket before you leave the range.
If you use any bowls, cups, plates, or silverware, do your dishes after eating.
Do not leave food out exposed to the flies and rodents.
No steel core rifle ammo on targets less than 150 yards/137 meters.
Frangible rifle ammunition only at less than 100 yards/91 meters. This means all steel targets on the carbine range and pistol range with rifle calibers.
Frangible pistol ammo only at less than 7 meters on steel targets.
Steel targets only inside the shoothouse. This means frangible bullets only inside the shoothouse.
We will have frangible 300blk, 7.62 nato, 5.56 nato and 9mm nato if you want to trade for frangible ammo to shoot steel up close.
You are welcome to wear a loaded pistol in a holster, but it must stay in the holster unless you are on the line, and are actively shooting.
No Show and Tell or weapons handling near the vehicles.
Keep your long guns on a sling, bagged or boxed up, and unloaded unless you are actively practicing on the range.
Finally….the most important rule of all, train within your limits.
