Many people have experience owning and shooting firearms, but don’t have much experience with shooting and moving, rapid fire, holsters, weapon transitions, team shooting drills, or managing the line on a dynamic range.
This is a quick and informative safety orientation, followed by open range time, so you can begin enjoying Monarch Defense’s dedicated private tactical training facility, the only one of it’s kind in the San Francisco Bay Area. Learn from an 11 year professional firearms instructor who has watched a lot of YouTube videos, and is basically, you know, like, an expert at pissing off trolls on the internet.

Safety orientations run from 9am to 10am, and again from 5pm to 6pm.
Open range time begins from 10am to 9pm on the pistol and carbine ranges. Meet new friends, hang out, shoot, move, communicate, learn about upcoming classes, eat, drink and be merry, clean guns, enjoy nature, BBQ, watch a move, camp out! We have target stands, paper targets, steel targets, and all sorts of props and barricades for you to practice and play with.
After you complete the safety orientation, and demonstrate safe range procedures and weapons handling, you will be able to schedule and use our private facility for shooting practice at any time, as long as your usage does not conflict with scheduled classes.
Note:
You’re welcome to crack open a “cold one” and stay to socialize after shooting, but once you take your first sip of alcohol, you’re done shooting for the rest of the day.
Location:
300 acre private facility in the Diablo mountains, 1 hour east of San Jose, 1 hour south of Livermore. Cell reception is unreliable out here; Do not trust Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Wayz. Detailed driving directions will be emailed to those who register. 2 wheel drive accessible.
Cost:
Open range day is $75 standard price, and $37.50 active military, veterans, and Monarch Defense students who have taken a class within 12 months.

What is the cancellation policy?
We do not issue refunds, except for in extreme and unforeseeable circumstances. Notify us by email at info@monarchdefense.org before 1 hour before class starts, and we will happily apply your full credit towards a future event or class. You must use your credit within 1 calendar year from original event or class date.
