Basic Defensive Handgun 5JUL25

Basic Defensive Handgun will introduce to the student all the skills necessary for using a pistol or revolver safely and confidently. Students will learn safety procedures, ready positions, the 6 primary weapon manipulation drills, shooting stances, holster draw procedures, moving and shooting, and be able to draw and fire a handgun within 1.5 seconds, and to hit a man sized target out to 100 meters.
This class is part of the summer 2025 Provider Protector Small Group Semi-Private Class Series. We schedule classes based upon the student’s schedule, with groups of 3-6 students at a time. This program consists of eight 5-hour modules. These 8 modules are:
- Home Defense and Firearm Safety
- Basic Defensive Handgun
- Advanced Defensive Handgun
- Home Defense Shotgun
- Home Defense Carbine
- First Aid for the Provider and Protector
- Basic Defensive Close Quarter Battle
- High Intensity Gunfighting Drills

Our facility is in the mountains 1 hour east of San Jose, 1 hour south from Livermore. Detail directions will be emailed to those who sign up.

Standards for Precision and Accuracy:
- 16 minutes of angle with iron sights with standard ammunition from standing isosceles position, corresponding to 100m effective range on man sized target, and 17m effective range on vital organ (brain stem, heart) size target
Marksmanship skills:
- Posture

We have weapons, magazines, magazine carriers, pistols, holsters, night vision, armor, helmet etc. for you to borrow for free. All you need to do is communicate clearly in advance what you need to borrow, and clean what you used before turning it back in.
We can supply all the ammunition you need for $80 per person per day. We can take cash or Venmo to brian-wang-11.
