Description

The Shooting Range Experience is a fast paced, hands on class that will allow beginners a chance to experience shooting for the first time in a safe and controlled environment, to gain exposure to a broad range of firearms and work with professional instructors on a plethora of questions and discussion topics relating to firearm ownership, self defense, and tactical training.

By design, this class is the live fire continuation of the Firearm Safety and Self Defense class. We recommend that students start there first, but this class is open to all who are willing to pay 110% attention to safety instructions, and would like a fun and educational way to spend a day on the range, learn about and shoot a wide variety of firearms!

Typically, students can expect to handle and fire these or similar weapons.

Overview:
We start Safety Briefing at 8:10am or 1:10pm for a class that lasts roughly 4 hours. Everyone learns at a different pace and has different questions, so this is an approximation only. Please help set up and clean up, which will allow us more time for discussions and shooting.

Prerequisites:
Firearm Safety and Self Defense is recommended, but not required.

Required Equipment:
Water, snacks, sun screen, close toe shoes, eye and ear protection. Dress for outdoor activity (we hold class rain or shine). In addition to the firearms that we provide for the class, some students may bring their personal firearms and let you shoot them. Please bring some cash to chip in towards their ammo cost.

Price Breakdown:
Tuition for this class is $155 per person. Facility fee is $20 per person. Ammunition is $20 per person. If you have already purchased a 3rd party promotional voucher, then please choose “Ammo and Range Fee Only” under ticket type, then choose the correct date, then type or copy and paste your 8 digit numeric voucher code in the “Additional Information” text field during checkout.

FAQ:

Can I bring my own gun to shoot? Yes, but only if we have time, and only if you are willing to let other students try it. Bring enough ammo to share.

Can I take pictures? Yes.
What is the age limit for this class? We do not have a set age limit for this class, but typically puberty is a suitable starting age for youths to learn firearm safety. An adult, preferably parent or legal guardian, must accompany all minors.
If I have a 3rd party promotional voucher, how do I sign up? Choose the “Range Fee and Ammo only” option at checkout, then submit a copy of your voucher barcode to admin@monarchdefense.org. We redeem your voucher when you schedule, rather than when you attend class. This is for 3 reasons: it reduces administrative burden and wasted time on the day of class, it discourages customers from no-showing, and allows you to gain the full value of your voucher before it expires, even if your class is past the promotions expiration date.

How can I contact the organizer with my questions? Brian Wang is the event organizer. He can be reached at 408-892-5460 or info@monarchdefense.org
