Description

Everything you need to get started in learning the art and science of combat rifle-craft, in one day.

As the name implies, this accelerated course will strive to pack 2 days worth of learning into one day. Please read the product descriptions for both FR1 and FR2

This course is particularly designed for folks who cannot afford the time for a full weekend of back to back classes, and for those who have prior experience and are seeking a fast paced refresher.

An accelerated pace class is not for the faint of heart. Make sure you have everything on the packing list, that you are well rested and hydrated, and that you are caring for your body by stretching and exercising regularly.

You will likely not be able to retain all of the material, so diligent note taking will be very important to increase your learning productivity. This way you can refer back to your notes at home as you process what you’ve learned.

Much of our training will be conducted in the dark. Embrace it.

During the summer you will be dusty and hot. During the Winter you will be cold and wet. Embrace it.

There will be no walking in this class. If you’re transiting from point A to point B, you will do so running.

Prerequisite:

Firearm Safety and Self Defense
High school level English, physiology, history, chemistry, physics, arithmetic, geometry, and physical education.

Price:

Class sizes for accelerated courses are very small, approximately 3-4 students, giving maximum efficiency and hands on time with your instructor. But as a consequence of this, the price of accelerated classes needs to be higher.

For tuition, a suitable donation amount is anything between $175 and $350 per person. For the 2021-2022 school year, I have updated the website to accept credit card payments directly and up front to decrease confusion, no-shows, and administrative workload.

Ammo for this class is separate from tuition, and if you need us to supply ammo, we keep each of the most popular calibers on hand for your convenience.

Location:

Valley of Orion, in the vicinity of Mount Hamilton and San Antonio Valley. 1 hours east of San Jose, 1 hour south from Livermore. Detailed directions will be emailed to those who sign up.

Time:

This class is designed to take 20 hours, having said that, we’re going to squeeze it into 12 hours. Normally, a class can only progress at the students’ pace, in an accelerated course, the class will progress at the instructor’s pace, and if you can’t keep up… oh well. I expect that you commit your entire day to this training, that you show up early, and that you stay till the end to debrief and clean up. In order to maximize our training day, we need to start by 9am at the latest. Plan to arrive no later than 8:30am if you have your own gear, or 8am if you are borrowing gear.
