While Brian is away, most classes will be facilitated in a study group format led by experienced and qualified students who volunteer their time to provide their expertise and instruction. Study groups are flexible, casual, and high-quality opportunities to train in an intimate small group environment with subject matter experts and fellow students of a variety of skill levels.

Introduction to Defensive Handgun (DH1) Study Group will introduce you to the foundational concepts of owning, carrying, and shooting a pistol or revolver in self-defense. If you have just bought your first handgun, are interested in owning one, or are interested in stepping off on your journey in tactical firearm training, this is an exciting opportunity to get started in a thorough, detailed, and beginner friendly manner.

Firearm Safety and Self Defense

This class is funded by donation. A recommended donation amount is $125 per person per day, but we will accept anything between $50 and $250 per person per day.

Ammo for this class is separate from tuition, and if you need us to supply ammo, please include a note during checkout or contact us at

9am-5pm (unless otherwise communicated by the volunteer instructor)

We can only teach the class at the students’ pace. If you wish to attend this class, you must stay until we end so that we may debrief, turn in borrowed equipment, and clean up. Clear your schedule, and expect to be in class for the entire day. Students leaving early is a huge distraction, unfair to others, and it wastes time for everyone.
