What:

Skill Builder is a training philosophy and format designed to provide shooters from a wide range of skill levels an affordable opportunity for no-bullshit, safety conscious, time efficient live fire training to enhance their personal journey in the modern martial art.

Those who train regularly find camaraderie with staff and student, and a community of friends devoted to a common interest. Our students come from all walks of life, to include homemakers, professionals, parents, service members, cops, and young adults. Self Defense is a universal right, and as such, we stay out of politics and welcome all to attend.

In each class we review the essentials and add new skills to your repertoire. All Skill Builder classes follow the same basic formula: Check in and set up, safety brief, stretching, dry practice, static live fire, dynamic live fire, class photo, debrief, and clean up. We always review safety in the morning, and break down the day into bite sized blocks of instruction. We shoot live fire drills in a logical progression, starting from the most basic and building in complexity, speed and technical challenge.

As a student, you will push yourself to exhaustion, discover your points of failure, master your weapon, and become faster, stronger, more alert, and more accurate than you previously thought possible.

Those who have seen the light understand that there is no such thing as an “advanced” technique, or an “advanced” gunfight. Simply put, the mastery of core principles, or the lack thereof, is the only thing which differentiates the professional from the amateur, the victor from the victim.
