DESCRIPTION:Many people have experience owning and shooting firearms\, but don’t have much experience with shooting and moving\, rapid fire\, holsters\, weapon transitions\, team shooting drills\, or managing the line on a dynamic range. \nThis is a quick and informative safety orientation\, followed by open range time\, so you can begin enjoying Monarch Defense’s dedicated private tactical training facility\, the only one of it’s kind in the San Francisco Bay Area. Learn from an 11 year professional firearms instructor who has watched a lot of YouTube videos\, and is basically\, you know\, like\, an expert at pissing off trolls on the internet. \nTopics: \n\nMoving with weapons\nHolster safety\nRange commands\nSetting up steel targets\nWhen to use frangible bullets\nHow to build a drill progression\nHow to look cool for Instagram\nUnderstanding ricochets\nSupervising new shooters\nWhere to find tools\, light switches\, drinking water\, targets\, and other resources\nClean up procedures\nEmergency procedures\n\nSafety orientations run from 9am to 10am\, and again from 1pm to 2pm. (We can add more safety orientations if we need to\, message me at info@monarchdefense.org) \nOpen range time begins from 10am to 9pm on the pistol and carbine ranges. Meet new friends\, hang out\, shoot\, move\, communicate\,  learn about upcoming classes\, eat\, drink and be merry\, clean guns\, enjoy nature\, BBQ\, watch a move\, camp out! We have target stands\, paper targets\, steel targets\, and all sorts of props and barricades for you to practice and play with. \nAfter you complete the safety orientation\, and demonstrate safe range procedures and weapons handling\, you will be able to schedule and use our private facility for shooting practice at any time\, as long as your usage does not conflict with scheduled classes. \nNote: \nYou’re welcome to crack open a “cold one” and stay to socialize after shooting\, but once you take your first sip of alcohol\, you’re done shooting for the rest of the day. \nLocation: \n300 acre private facility in the Diablo mountains 1 hour east of San Jose\, 1 hour south of Livermore. Cell reception is unreliable out here; Do not trust Apple Maps\, Google Maps\, or Wayz.
