DESCRIPTION:Monarch Defense’s Firearm Safety Class is the most important class we offer\, and the most important class you will ever take during your self defense training. Over the last 12 years teaching professionally\, I have strived to design a thorough hands on learning experience which answers all of the questions that you need to know to get started\, especially with regards to experiential knowledge that you must learn by doing and can’t just find online. This program exists to prepare you for a successful future in protecting yourself\, so that you can make wise decisions regarding buying\, learning\, carrying\, and using firearms. \nLearn:  \nSafe firearm handling procedures\nFirearm disassembly\, clearing\, and reassembly\nRole of weapons in society \nHow to load\, unload\, stand\, hold\, aim\, and fire pistols\, revolvers\, rifles\, and shotguns.\nExperience first hand the recoil\, weight\, noise\, ease or difficulty of use\, and accuracy of different firearms \nPrerequisites: \nNone \nSpecial Policy Regarding Minors:  \nMonarch Defense welcomes youngsters to our firearm safety program\, and we will donate both tuition and ammunition for their learning. It is completely free to bring your teens or children to class. We leave it up to parents and guardians to decide at what age your child is ready to learn. Parent or guardian must be in the class with minors under 18. Parent or guardian must fill out liability waiver on child’s behalf. \nLocation: \nOur facility is in the mountains 1 hour east from San Jose\, or 1 hour south from Livermore. If you are an unskilled or inexperienced driver\, give yourself 2 hours to make the drive from most cities of the bay area. We will email detailed driving instructions to you when you sign up. \nSchedule:  \nWe begin together and end together. Weapons are not toys\, and if used improperly can result in serious safety and legal consequences. \nThis class is designed to provide beginners with a solid introduction to the attitude\, skill\, and knowledge you need to succeed in firearm ownership. \nMy name is Brian Wang. I have been teaching firearm safety\, self defense\, and the combat use of firearms for 11 years professionally.  I have been a teacher since 2006. I have trained kung fu since 2007. I completed sniper school in 2010. I have been licensed to carry a concealed weapon since 2013. I have traveled the country to learn from the best mentors and take the best instructor certification programs available. I have been to war and watched friends die. I have survived a guided missile\, helicopter rockets\, artillery bombardment\, aviation bombs\, strafing by infantry fighting vehicle cannon\, and disease. I have been the victim of burglary\, arson\, unlawful arrest\, and domestic violence. I have eaten bologna sandwiches in jail\, and won in court. I am a father and a husband and a small business owner. I have taught over 10\,000 students in Florida\, Texas\, Arizona\, Arkansas\, Nevada\, Ukraine\, and California. I own and operate at 300 acre dedicated tactical training facility only 1 hour from the bay area. It is my honor to be your instructor\, and to bring you all of this knowledge for free. \nI have striven to design a thorough hands on learning experience\, with the most detail in the shortest time possible. Expect 50% of your class to be lecture and discussion\, and 50% to be hands on with guns\, shooting\, and moving. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Monarch Defense’s Firearm Safety Class. This is a pro bono community service project led by myself\, Brian Wang\, and assisted by many donors and volunteers each month who have helped to make this program a lasting success. Over the last 12 years of teaching professionally\, I have striven to design a thorough hands on learning experience which answers all of the questions that you need to know to get started\, especially with regards to experiential knowledge that you must learn by doing and can’t just find online. This program exists to prepare you for a successful future in protecting yourself\, so that you can make wise decisions regarding buying\, learning\, carrying\, and using firearms. \nLearn:  \nSafe firearm handling procedures\nFirearm disassembly\, clearing\, and reassembly\nRole of weapons in society \nHow to load\, unload\, stand\, hold\, aim\, and fire pistols\, revolvers\, rifles\, and shotguns.\nExperience first hand the recoil\, weight\, noise\, ease or difficulty of use\, and accuracy of different firearms \nPrerequisites: \nNone \nSpecial Policy Regarding Minors:  \nMonarch Defense welcomes youngsters to our firearm safety program\, and we will donate both tuition and ammunition for their learning. It is completely free to bring your teens or children to class. We leave it up to parents and guardians to decide at what age your child is ready to learn. Parent or guardian must be in the class with minors under 18.
