SUMMARY:Tactical Precision Rifle: D.O.P.E. 3MAY25
DESCRIPTION:This class is part of the summer 2025 Tactical Precision Rifle Series. This program consists of 5 half day modules that will cover all topics having to do with long range precision rifle shooting\, the science of bullet flight\, and the tactical application of precision riflecraft. These 5 modules are:  \n\nTactical precision rifle theory\nPrecision shooting fundamentals\nGathering DOPE from 100-1000 meters\nEstimating and compensating for wind\nPutting it all together  \n\nIf you would like to participate in this training program\, call Brian at 408-892-5460 or email info@monarchdefense.org. \nPrerequisite: \n\n\n\nYou must have prior safe weapons handling experience. All modules must be taken in sequence. You must successfully pass each module with the instructor’s approval to attend the next module.   \n\n\n\nDescription:  \nD.O.P.E. is an acronym that stands for “data on prior engagements”. Generally you think of a rifle’s zero as calibrating the rifle’s point of impact to the point of aim at one distance. In long distance rifle shooting we actually have a baseline zero like normal\, then we gather as many as possible additional zeros at known distances in order to gather data such that we compile a notebook full of information for future use.  \nExpect our training to begin by confirming zero at 100 meters on paper\, then we will move back to shoot at steel targets from 100 meters all the way out to 1000 meters.  \nOur goal is to build up your shooting skills and consistency such that you can reliably achieve 1 minute of angle groups with either the bolt action or semi automatic sniper rifle\, which will equate to effective range on man sized targets at 1200 meters and beyond.  \nRemember\, we can provide for you all weapon systems\, scopes\, ammunition\, and equipment. You are certainly welcome to bring and use your own\, but buying expensive gear is not necessary to participate in this training course. Always communicate proactively with the instructor if you need to use the school’s equipment and ammunition so that we can prepare for you.  \nLocation: \nOur facility is in the mountains 1 hour east of San Jose\, 1 hour south from Livermore. Detail directions will be emailed to those who sign up. \nPacking list:  \n\n\n\nNotebook and writing utensilSturdy bootsSturdy pantsBeltLong sleeve shirt or jacketGlovesLayer garments so you can adjust for cold\, wet\, or warm weatherBrimmed hatRifle and scope200 rounds of match ammunitionCleaning kit with oil\, rag\, toothbrush\, barrel rodTools for mounting and adjusting your opticsSpare batteries for scopes\, lights\, night vision\, lasers etc.Individual first aid kit (IFAK)Eye protectionEar protection 1 gallon of water per daySalty snacks and bag lunchBackpackSleeping bag or blankets if camping overTowel and personal hygiene items if camping overWe provide rifles\, magazines\, magazine carriers\, pistols\, holsters etc. for you. While weapons and gear are free to borrow\, we ask you to clean everything you used before turning it back in. We can supply all the ammunition you need\, including match ammunition\, for $80 per person per day. Simply choose the “Ammunition” ticket option during checkout. Payments by Venmo to brian-wang-11 are also acceptable.  \n\n\n\n\nWhat is the cancellation policy? \nWe do not issue refunds\, except for in extreme and unforeseeable circumstances. Notify us by email at info@monarchdefense.org before 1 hour before class starts\, and we will happily apply your full credit towards a future event or class. You must use your credit within 1 calendar year from original event or class date. \nQuestions? Call Brian at 408-892-5460 or email info@monarchdefense.org.

SUMMARY:Tactical Precision Rifle: WIND 3MAY25
DESCRIPTION:This class is part of the summer 2025 Tactical Precision Rifle Series. \n\n\n\nDescription:  \nIn precision long range rifle shooting\, distance and elevation corrections are very predictable and easy to calculate. That is a science. On the other hand\, feeling the wind\, seeing the wind\, predicting the wind\, knowing how the wind flows – how the sun\, weather\, oceans\, and mountains affects the flow of air over the earth – that is an art that takes nuance and experience to master. In this module I will present to you key concepts for how to visualize how the wind is moving\, then a few simple quick mathematical formulas for how to estimate how much the wind will effect your bullet in flight\, and how to compensate for it. Then\, we will practice together\, and on your own you will practice\, and practice\, and practice.  \nExpect our training to begin by confirming zero at 100 meters on paper\, then we will move to the western ridge to engage targets across the valley between 400 and 1200 meters distance with distinct and challenging cross winds.  \nOur goal is to build up your experience reading the wind\, such that you can reliably achieve first round impacts on man sized targets at 600 meters\, 2nd round impacts out to 1000 meters.   \nRemember\, we can provide for you all weapon systems\, scopes\, ammunition\, and equipment. You are certainly welcome to bring and use your own\, but buying expensive gear is not necessary to participate in this training course. SUMMARY:Tactical Precision Rifle Theory 11MAY25
DESCRIPTION:Tactical precision rifle is a lifelong journey\, a passion\, a dedication to the true modern martial art and science; The mastery of a skill so simple\, yet so nuanced; Available to all\, yet fully understood by few. In this class\, we introduce the curious beginner to everything that it takes to become a master marksman. Curiosity is all it takes to begin.   \nHurry to sign up and secure your seat in the class. Space is limited\, so if we sell out\, email admin@monarchdefense.org to be added to the waiting list. Remember to email us if you change your mind or if you can’t come\, so we can give your seat to someone else.  \nThis is a free class.  \nPrerequisites: \nNone \nLearn: \n4 components of your weapon systemThe purpose of precision rifle trainingWhat is a sniper\, exactly? Precision vs Accuracy \nHow far can you actually shoot? How do we measure precision? How to use minutes of angle? How to use milliradians? \nBullet trajectoryBall ammunition vs Match ammunitionFast math vs good math for precision rifle calculationsWhat is DOPE? \nThe functions and features of precision rifle scopesHow to choose a rifle and cartridge for long range precision shootingAccessories and support equipment that you will needTips for how to practice \nYou could watch YouTube videos and figure things out by yourself\, but if you get something wrong\, no one will be there to coach or guide you\, and a simple error could plague your learning and development as a shooter. If you want to go to the public range and entertain yourself at 100 yards with your elbows on a table\, be my guest\, but that sounds boring. If you want to go out to BLM and have stray bullet wiz past you from random strangers\, or have other people shoot holes in your target\, be my guest to talk with my friend and student Mike who got shot through both legs out there. If you want to be forever an “experienced beginner”\, be my guest. Youtube Tactical University is always free\, but your time is valuable. Or\, take the bold first step to beginning your formal education on precision rifle craft\, combat rifle craft\, and sniper craft from a seasoned professional. \nThis class is designed to provide beginners with a solid introduction to the attitude\, skill\, and knowledge you will need to succeed in the journey towards becoming expert riflemen.  \nMy name is Brian Wang. I have been teaching firearm safety\, self defense\, and the combat use of firearms for 11 years professionally.  I have been a teacher since 2006. I have trained kung fu since 2007. I completed sniper school in 2010. I have been licensed to carry a concealed weapon since 2013. I have traveled the country to learn from the best mentors and take the best instructor certification programs available. I have been to war and watched friends die. I have survived a guided missile\, helicopter rockets\, artillery bombardment\, aviation bombs\, strafing by infantry fighting vehicle cannon\, and disease on the front line. I trained\, equipped\, and in large part gave birth to the Ukrainian 47th Mechanized Brigade’s snipers and designated marksmen. I am a father and a husband and a small business owner. I have taught over 10\,000 students in Florida\, Texas\, Arizona\, Arkansas\, Nevada\, Ukraine\, and California. I own and operate at 300 acre dedicated tactical training facility only 1 hour from the bay area. It is my honor to be your instructor\, and to bring you all of this knowledge for free. \nI have strived to design a thorough hands on learning experience\, with the most detail in the shortest time possible. Expect 50% of your class to be lecture and discussion\, and 50% to be hands on with guns\, shooting\, and moving.  \nLocation: \nOur facility is in the mountains 1 hour east of San Jose\, 1 hour south from Livermore. Detail directions will be emailed to those who sign up. \nSchedule:  \nWe meet at 8:00am. If you have to come in a bit late\, don’t worry\, just come when you can. If you can’t come\, please do email admin@monarchdefense.org to let us know so we can give your ticket to someone else\, since space is limited. We will end at 1:00pm\, and you will have time to ask questions\, organize your gear\, practice what you learned\, eat lunch\, etc. We will roll right into the next module\, Fundamentals at 2pm. If you wish to join the Fundamentals class\, call Brian at 408-892-5460 or email info@monarchdefense.org. You can read more about it by visiting the events page.  \nRequired Equipment:  \nNotebook and writing utensilPrescription glasses or clear safety glassesFirearms and ammunition are provided\, but you may also bring your own \nCancellations: \nWe do not offer refunds for discretionary cancellations. If you wish to reschedule a class\, you must email info@monarchdefense.org no later than 1 hour prior to class start\, and you will then be credited with the value of your course\, which you can gift to someone else or use for any future class within 1 year. \nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:This class is part of the summer 2025 Combat Rifle Small Group Semi-Private Class Series. We schedule classes based upon the student’s schedule\, with groups of 3-6 students at a time. These 8 modules are:  \n\nCombat Rifle Theory\nBasic Combat Rifle\nCombat Rifle Fundamentals\nCombat Rifle Optics\nShoot Move Communicate\nClose Quarters Combat Rifle\nNight Combat Rifle\nAdvanced Combat Rifle\n\nCombat riflecraft is a lifelong journey\, a passion\, a dedication to the true modern martial art and science. Everyone has a rifle\, but very few actually know how to use it. In this class\, we introduce the curious beginner to everything that it takes to become a confident and skilled warrior in the modern age. Curiosity is all it takes to begin.   \nHurry to sign up and secure your seat in the class. Space is limited. If we sell out\, email admin@monarchdefense.org to be added to the waiting list. Remember to email us if you change your mind or if you can’t come\, so we can give your seat to someone else.  \nThis is a free class.  \nPrerequisite: \nNone \nLearn: \n4 components of your weapon systemThe purpose of combat rifle trainingWhat is a rifleman\, exactly? The different roles of riflemen\, light machine gunners\, grenadiers\, marksmen\, and snipers \nIntroduction to the AR15\, America’s favorite rifleIntroduction to the Avtomat Kalashnikova\, the world’s favorite rifleWeapons disassembly and maintenanceHow to buy or build your own rifle \nQuick math for zeroing weaponsThe science of bullet flight and battle zeroBullet wounding effects and barrier penetrationBall\, tracer\, frangible\, blanks\, and when we use the different types of ammo \nChoosing combat rifle scopes and opticsCommon rifles\, cartridges\, calibers\, and bulletsAccessories and support equipment that you will needGoal setting and tips for practice \nYou could watch YouTube videos and figure things out by yourself\, but if you get something wrong\, no one will be there to coach or guide you\, and a simple error could plague your learning and development as a shooter. If you want to go to the public range and entertain yourself at 100 yards with your elbows on a table\, be my guest\, but that sounds boring to me. If you want to go out to public land and have stray bullets wiz past you from random strangers who don’t care about your safety\, be my guest to talk with my friend and student Mike who got shot through both legs. If you want to be forever an “experienced beginner”\, be my guest. Youtube Tactical University is always free\, but your time is valuable. Or\, take the bold first step to beginning your formal education on combat rifle craft from a seasoned professional. \n\n\n\nLocation: \nOur facility is in the mountains 1 hour east of San Jose\, 1 hour south from Livermore.
