DESCRIPTION:Beginners interested in learning the right way\, start here. \nExperienced students seeking to fill gaps in their knowledge regarding Use of Force\, weapons handling\, and self defense psychology\, start here. \nFirearms and ammunition are provided. You do not need to bring any of your own. \nAsk detailed questions\, learn\, explore\, and play with all the show and tell things we’ve prepared for you.  \nWe will begin together and end together. The class ends when we debrief and clean up\, no sooner. If you sign up\, plan to stay for the entirety of the class. \nThis is a two part class. Day 1 is demonstration\, discussion\, and dry practice. Day 2 is dry practice and live fire. Both days are 6 hours long. If you are an unskilled or inexperienced driver\, give yourself 2 hours to make the drive from most cities of the bay area. Currently we offer the class roughly every month. \nDuring the winter months it can be very cold\, so bring warm clothes. In the summer months it is very hot\, so stay in the shade and drink water. DESCRIPTION:Continue your firearms training in a beginner friendly and low pressure environment. Class sizes are small so you have great hands-on time with all the different guns and close attention from your instructors. Practice loading\, unloading\, aiming and shooting various firearms. See which type of weapon suits your body and your self defense needs. Gain confidence in safe gun handling before making your first firearm purchase or continuing onto more advanced training. \nLocation:\n \nOur facility is in the mountains 1 hour east of San Jose\, 1 hour south from Livermore. Detail directions will be emailed to those who sign up. If you are inexperienced in driving mountain roads\, give yourself 2 hours to make the trip. \nPrerequisite:\n \nFirearm Safety Class \n\nPacking List: \nDress like you are going out for a hike. It will be very hot in the summer\, very cold in the winter\, and very comfortable in spring and fall. Bring a hat\, sunglasses\, eye protection\, ear protection\, snack\, lunch\, and one gallon of water. Personal firearms are optional. \n\nCost:\n \nTuition is $125. SUMMARY:Action 2-Gun Competition Jan 13 2024
DESCRIPTION:Exciting combat and defense oriented shooting competition with 6-8 dynamic stages of fire for pistol and rifle. Move and shoot in challenging scenarios. Distances vary from 0 meters to 400 meters and feature many reactive steel targes.  \n\n\n\nTime: \n\n\n\n9-10am open range for zeroing and practice.At 10am we’ll begin the first stage\, and alternate ranges. Plan to finish around 5pm.   \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\n1 hour east from San Jose in the mountains. Detailed driving directions will be emailed to those who register.  \n\n\n\nGuiding Principles:  \nWeapons are to be pointed up\, down\, or downrange.Keep your finger above the trigger and on the side of the gun unless you are ready to shoot.Keep your weapon on safety unless you are shooting.Load when you are ready to use your weapon\, and load it appropriately for your purpose.We’re here to shoot\, to have fun\, to learn\, to practice\, and to challenge and help each other be better. Winning against others is not the principle goal.Holsters must securely fasten the pistol to your body and cover the trigger.You and your gear are gonna get wet\, dirty\, and scratched.Help set up\, clean up\, tape targets\, and reset stages.We shoot rain or shine. Plan accordingly. We start together with set up and briefing. We end together with debrief and cleanup.You can use any gun\, optics\, and accessories\, so long as they are safe to use.Use the time from 9am to 10am to zero your weapons.In martial spirit\, you should always attempt to seek cover and to stay low.Make friends and shout encouragement!It’s okay to be slow.If someone is struggling\, help him or her improve.If you are new\, do not fret. We’ll pair you up with an experienced shooter who can coach and mentor you.Bring snacks to share.Camping is welcome.Dogs\, families\, and spectators are welcome.We regularly shoot in the dark.
