DESCRIPTION:Close Quarter Defensive Handgun is a technical training module which will build upon the weapons handling skills that we introduced during Basic Defensive Handgun\, then add and refine the skills necessary for students to succeed in high stress\, high speed close range self defense engagements.  \nNote the difference between technical and tactical training. Technical training modules like this one focus on hardware and skill development\, whereas tactical training modules are focused on decision making and problem solving.  \nIf a private citizen must conduct armed self defense\, it will invariably be within an urban environment\, such as in and around cars\, parking lots\, homes\, offices\, or local businesses. Violent assault is raw\, primal\, and favors the aggressive. Thus\, all students of self-defense gunfighting should learn how to fight and move and problem solve in this realistic context.  \nIn our industry there is a magical aura around ‘Close Quarter Battle’\, you have to whisper the words…This dark magic is only for the elite\, The Special Navy Delta Recon Green Power Rangers… Yet\, once you actually get in front of one of these “Tier 1” instructors\, you realize that their professional experience has absolutely no bearing on the life and reality of normal people. You hear such nonsense as “I don’t teach CQB to civilians”\, “you cannot do CQB by yourself”\, “kneel down when reloading so your buddies can shoot over the top of your head”…Does any instructor have a program that teaches regular civilians how to fight and defend inside and around the urban environment? DESCRIPTION:Basic Defensive Handgun will introduce to the student all the skills necessary for using a pistol or revolver safely and confidently. Students will learn safety procedures\, ready positions\, the 6 primary weapon manipulation drills\, shooting stances\, holster draw procedures\, moving and shooting. Your goal is to be able to draw and fire a handgun within 1.5 seconds\, hit a man sized target out to 100 meters\, accurately deliver incapacitating shots on vital organs out to 17 meters\, and shoot 5 rounds per second while maintaining full recoil control\, both one handed\, and two handed\, in daylight and in darkness.    \nThis class is part of the Combat Rifle School. DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Defensive Handgun is a full day class which will efficiently introduce novice students to the equipment\, knowledge\, and skill necessary to use a pistol or revolver safely and confidently. All equipment and ammunition are provided\, but you can bring your own if you wish.  \nMost of our classes these days are structured with prerequisites for long term commitment customers. This full day of training is priced and organized as a stand-alone class that favors convenience for new customers who are not\, and likely will not become\, subscription based members of the Combat Rifle School. This class includes the core curriculum found in the module Basic Defensive Handgun\, as well as elements from Self Defense Theory\, Defensive Handgun Theory\, Defensive Handgun Fundamentals\, and Close Quarter Defensive Handgun. It is a one stop comprehensive introduction to everything you need to know to get started.  \nMy name is Brian Wang. I have been teaching firearm safety\, self defense\, and the combat use of firearms for 12 years professionally.  I have been a teacher since 2006. I have trained kung fu since 2007. I completed sniper school in 2010. I have been licensed to carry a concealed weapon since 2013. I have traveled the country to learn from the best mentors and have completed the best instructor certification programs available\, to bring efficient and effective training to you. I have been to war and watched friends die. I have survived missiles\, helicopters\, artillery\, bombs\, and illness and stubborn bureaucracy to bring you the best experiences possible. DESCRIPTION:High Intensity Gunfighting Drills is not designed to teach any specific techniques\, but rather provide the student with an opportunity for high repetition\, high round count guided practice\, providing a safe place to experiment and fail\, and helping the student develop confidence in his or her gun handling abilities. The value in this training module is variety. Hence each of these classes will be unique and will cater to the skill level and needs of the class. My intention is that students regularly repeat this module\, and can use this as a blank canvas to express their growth in the martial art and science of firearms for self defense.  \nThis class is part of the Combat Rifle School. We schedule small group instruction based upon the your request. This program consists of the following 50 unique training modules\, plus additional practical and field exercises.
