SUMMARY:Introduction to Defensive Handgun 13DEC25
DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Defensive Handgun is a full day class which will efficiently introduce novice students to the equipment\, knowledge\, and skill necessary to use a pistol or revolver safely and confidently. Students will learn safety rules\, how to load and unload\, grip\, stance\, aiming\, and shooting. All equipment and ammunition are provided\, but you can bring your own if you wish.  \nMost of our classes these days are structured with prerequisites for long term commitment customers. This full day of training is priced and organized as a stand-alone class that favors convenience for new customers who are not\, and likely will not become\, subscription based members of the Combat Rifle School. This class includes the core curriculum found in the module Basic Defensive Handgun\, as well as elements from Self Defense Theory\, Defensive Handgun Theory\, Defensive Handgun Fundamentals\, and Close Quarter Defensive Handgun. It is a one stop comprehensive introduction to everything you need to know to get started.  \nMy name is Brian Wang. I have been teaching firearm safety\, self defense\, and the combat use of firearms for 12 years professionally.  I have been a teacher since 2006. I have trained kung fu since 2007. I completed sniper school in 2010. I have been licensed to carry a concealed weapon since 2013. I have traveled the country to learn from the best mentors and have completed the best instructor certification programs available\, to bring efficient and effective training to you. I have been to war and watched friends die. I have survived missiles\, helicopters\, artillery\, bombs\, and illness and stubborn bureaucracy to bring you the best experiences possible. I have been the victim of burglary\, arson\, unlawful arrest\, and domestic violence. I have eaten bologna sandwiches in jail\, and won in court. I am a father and a husband and a small business owner. I have taught over 10\,000 students in Florida\, Texas\, Arizona\, Arkansas\, Nevada\, Ukraine\, and California. I own and operate at 300 acre dedicated tactical training facility only 1 hour from the bay area. It is my honor to be your instructor.  \nI have striven to design a thorough hands on learning experience\, with the most detail in the shortest time possible. Expect 50% of your training to be lecture and discussion\, and 50% to be hands on with guns\, shooting\, and moving. \nPrerequisite: \nNone \n\n\n\nLocation: \nOur facility is in the mountains 1 hour east of San Jose\, 1 hour south from Livermore.
